We invite you to the DOUBLE BBQ Gives Back KCBS contest/SCA Cookoff to be held March 27th – 29th, 2020 at the Bethpage Camp – Resort in Urbanna, VA! We are working hard to make this a memorable contest.
Our contest will benefit the Team Thanksgiving Food Bank. Each team will be asked to donate their leftover pork at the Saturday contest, after all 4 meat turn ins are complete, to the food bank. There will also be a voluntary collection of dry and/or canned goods. To see a requested list of items, please click on the GIVING BACK link above.
We are also helping raise funds for Operation BBQ Relief. This group responds to disasters across the US and helps feed victims and first responders. ALL contest profits will be donated to OBR. So what’s this five in one contest we keep hearing about? We are crowning 5 Champions. The KCBS Master Series Contest Grand Champion! The KCBS Backyard Contest Grand Champion! The MABA Cup Finals Champion! The VA Grands Champions! The SCA Champion! More information about each of these portions of our contest can be found on the competitor’s information pages.
We are adding a 3 meat backyard contest. Chicken, ribs, and pork turn ins at the same time as the master series turn ins. Information may be found on the competitors page.
Additional opportunities include a FREE Thursday night social event for teams, judges and reps to join in a friendly discussion of BBQ related topics and a Friday night SCA steak/chef choice combo cookoff. (Chef choice entry must be only one item – example surf and turf will not work but just surf is ok)
